Saja: How did you meet?
Samantha: John and I were collegiate athletes at the same university. Our teams often hung out around campus together and we shared the same circle of friends, but it wasn't until late in our senior year of college that we were actually introduced by a mutual friend at a local bar.

Saja: How did he propose?
Samantha: John and I were spending the weekend in upstate New York at my parent's house. The home I grew up in. We woke up early in the morning to prepare for a day of rafting down the Delaware River with my family. We were having our morning coffee and tea and right there, in the home that I learned what love is by watching my parents love each other more with each passing day, John proposed. We spent the rest of the weekend celebrating with family. It was perfect.

Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there?
Samantha: We got married in Montego Bay, Jamaica- a place we've visited many times and love so much. There were many reasons why we chose to get married in Jamaica but the main reason was that we did not want to be consumed with the stresses that planning a wedding can often bring. We wanted this special time to be about our love, not wedding invitation fonts or the color of our linens. Additionally, prior to our wedding our families have not had the opportunity to spend much time together. Our destination wedding gave everyone several days to bond and relax in paradise.

Saja: Is there anything you can point out about the photos that we might not have noticed?
Samantha: You can tell by the pictures, but if you were there you would know that our wedding day was one of the hottest and most humid days we'd had the whole trip. It was almost 100 degrees and humid. Knowing this may be the case, I was so happy to have found Saja Wedding. My dress was perfect for the weather conditions and I didn't have to trade beauty for practicality. I just wish I could wear it every day!

Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Why?
Samantha: Our favorite photos are the ones of just us on the beach. Because of our love for the beach, Jamaica and its culture, we couldn't think of a better place to have our special day captured. There's no place we would rather be.

Saja: What was your favorite part of the day?
Samantha: There were so many great moments but one of our favorites was the wish lantern release at the end of our reception. Our reception was on the beach so after the last song everyone in our group released a large wish lantern. They sailed over the ocean, lighting up the water. It was a beautiful moment and the perfect way to end a magical day.

This is so beautiful, Sam and Johnny! What a great collection of photos from your special day, and I love this interview. Absolutely beautiful wedding, dress, and couple! <3
