Everyone who knows me well knows that I am a very picky person. I am picky with my aesthetics, my music choice and people I choose to have into my fold. Sam walked into my life after I placed an ad for a graphic designer for Saja Wedding way back when it was located on Elizabeth St. on NoLita St. I liked her immediately. I liked her so much I let her have my favorite pistachio cupcake from Sweet Sugar Sunshine in East Village I got that day.
Sam went on to help me for many years polishing Saja Wedding to be better and she had my complete trust. Clients loved her and she calmed me down when I was in the bind more than once with challenging appointments. When she left Saja to pursue her other interests, I was heart broken but happy for her. She still managed to come back part time to help me out until I left New York. Meeting Sam and Kyra as my last work colleagues in New York is something I will always be grateful for.
When I finished 2019 collection after many years of absence, Sam reached out to me to photograph the whole collection and I was honored. Her beauty and warmth transcends everything she does and the pictures she took gave life to the dresses.
