After their original wedding venue abruptly shut down just one month before their wedding, Emily and Ryan experienced some major stress through the planning process. With much help and support from the NYC events community, we are so happy to see their "redo" wedding turn out so incredibly beautifully. She looks stunning in HB6622 paired with our BT2000 belt. Thank you so much to Clean Plate Pictures for sharing and many congratulations to Emily and Ryan~
Saja: How did you meet?
Emily: We met the good old-fashioned way...online!
Saja: How did he propose?
Emily: It was February and freezing in NYC so we decided to do something fun and have a mini staycation in the city at the Nomad Hotel. Unbeknownst to me it was all a plan to sneak in a proposal. We had a great time lounging in hotel robes, ordering room service and soaking in the new engagement!
Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there?
Emily: We had the extremely unfortunate circumstance of our original venue, reBar in Dumbo, abruptly shutting down one month before our wedding. After a few freak-out sessions, we got back to planning. Luckily, the amazing NYC events community rallied together to help the over 100 couples that were affected by the sudden closure and we ended up having a beautiful wedding at The India House in the financial district. It was the complete opposite vibe of the wedding we had been planning for over a year but my husband and I both agree it couldn't have been a better day.
Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Why?
Emily: I really like them all, but I suppose I especially like the one above. The way my dress is slightly flowing to the side and the colors of the wall make for a pretty sweet pic!
Saja: What was your favorite part of the day?
Emily: My favorite part was having all of our friends and family together all in the same place celebrating. It was a magical day and I don't think we'll ever manage to get all of those people together like that again!
