From the first time we met Clarice & Elliott, we could see the spark between them. We so enjoyed working with these two through their wedding planning process and love seeing their sweet, rustic affair come to life through these photos by Lillie Fortino. Clarice is stunning in HB6285 with a soft side braid, flower crown and her "Something Blue" shoes to finish the look. Thank you so much to all of the vendors (listed below) that made this special day happen. There are certain couples that we will remember forever, and these two are most definitely of one them. Congratulations many times over, Clarice & Elliott!!
Saja: How did you meet?
Clarice: Elliott and I met at the Benton Museum of Art at UCONN where worked in the cafe during our undergrad years. On the first day that we met, I was learning how to make a latte and spilled steamed milk on his backpack.
Saja: How did he/she propose?
Clarice: It was a complete surprise. We've been living in Queens for a few years now, so last year in January, we took a weekend trip back to CT. On the way, we stopped at the lake his family spends their summers on to take pictures of the ice. Since it was frozen solid, we walked out onto the lake and that's where he proposed.
Saja: What was your favorite part of the day?
Clarice: Our first look started off the day perfectly. We were so excited to be able to see each other and spend some time together, privately before the ceremony.
Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there?
Clarice: Our wedding was at the Webb Barn in Wethersfield, CT. Since we were having a DIY wedding, we wanted a venue that didn't need much work. The garden and the barn are so beautiful, we could keep it simple.
Saja: Is there anything you can point out about your pictures that we might not have noticed?
Clarice: Our friends were incredibly helpful with all of the details of the day. We are so fortunate to know such creative and generous people. The flower chandelier, table numbers, escort cards, ceremony programs, desserts table and more were all put together with their help.
Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Why?
Clarice: The aerial view photo of our family and friends joining us for our first dance is our favorite. It's a great candid shot of almost everyone together.
