Happy Monday! We're starting off the week with some very beautiful and very New York photos from our bride, Lindsey's wedding. Her intimate affair took place at one our favorite venues, Housing Works Bookstore- which happens to be right around the corner from us! We are so grateful to have spent some time getting to know Lindsey and her lovely mother and are so happy to see her look so elegant in our HB6633 dress. Thank you so much to Sugar Beet Photo for the incredible shots. Many congratulations to Lindsey, Kamahnie and the rest of their amazing circle~
Saja: How did you meet?
Lindsey: We met through a friend at one of our favorite bars on the Upper West Side, Amsterdam Alehouse.
Saja: How did he propose?
Lindsey: Kamahnie proposed on a snowy Friday night walk in December at Ralph Ellison Memorial Park in Harlem. Invisible Man is one of my favorite books and it felt perfect to be in that space, late at night, beginning a new chapter together.
Saja: What was your favorite part of the day? Why?
Lindsey: Saying our vows. It felt sacred, and exciting. There was one moment during the ceremony when our officiant asked us to look out at the people who were gathered in the bookstore to support and celebrate us. Looking into the eyes of our friends and family at such an important moment is something we’ll never forget.
Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there?
Lindsey: We were married in the Housing Works Bookstore in Soho. We LOVE bookstores, and it felt important to us not only to be surrounded by our most-loved people, but also the stories we had loved and shared together. And because Housing Works is a non-profit, were also very happy to know that the money we spent on our event would benefit those who are in great need in our city.
Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Why?
Lindsey: Our favorite is the one in the street. It was the end of the night, we’d had the time of our lives, and it’s just so New Yorky.
