Sam & Andrew

We can't think of a better way to start the week than with these photos from Sam & Andrew's wedding! Sam is truly one of the most special brides we've ever had- from her warm and loving personality to all of her amazing family and friends we met along the way. She is truly angelic wearing DT6366 and we love the rich jewel tones for her fall affair. Thank you SO much to Liesl of Photo Pink for sharing and the rest of the vendors below. We look forward to keeping in touch with this lovely couple for years to come~

Saja: How did you meet?

Sam: Andrew and I grew up at the same summer camp, Eisner Camp in Great Barrington, MA.  However, we didn't know each other until adulthood when we reconnected through mutual friends.  We hit it off very quickly and the rest is history.  (We had over 50 camp alumni at our wedding!)
Saja: How did he propose?

Sam: Andy proposed to me after 5 years together in August 2014.  Andy woke me up on a Saturday morning and was down on one knee in a pile of my dirty clothes next to the bed.  I was even sitting upright when he asked me to marry him.  Let's just say I've never been more excited to get up in the morning.
Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there?

Sam: Andy and I got married at the Prospect Park Picnic House in Brooklyn, NY.  I grew up in Park Slope and Andy and I live in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.  Prospect Park is our backyard! The building where we held the reception was a beautiful blank canvas to make our own! We got married in the Long Meadow outside surrounded by runners, kids birthday parties and couples walking their dogs.  It was perfect for us.

Saja: What was your favorite part of the day? Why?

Sam: My favorite part of the day was the "Tisch" that Andy and I held before we signed the Ketubah (the Jewish marriage contract).  I held my tisch in my parents brownstone and Andy held his at my parent's neighbors house.  We were surrounded by our closes friends and family.  Friends and family shared words and wisdom and blessing and then we were "danced" towards one another.  The moment Andy and I saw each other was pure bliss.
Saja: Is there anything about the photos you can point out that we might not have noticed?

Sam: October 17, 2015 was one of the coldest days of our mild fall/winter in NYC.  The light was beautiful but it was absolutely freezing!! If it weren't for the adrenalin I don't think I could've made it through pictures.   My father had to get heat lamps for the ceremony last minute but it didn't matter to me - Andy and I were on cloud nine!

Saja: Which of the photos is your favorite? Why?

Sam: It's hard to pick a favorite picture because I don't think any of them could capture how beautiful, comfortable and blissful I felt that day!
