Lauren and Adam's Hudson Valley Wedding is such a beautiful way to start the week! We love the way she styled her RC6257 dress with a low up-do and soft flowers. We are so happy to see all the details of Lauren's special day come together so beautifully against the picturesque backdrop in upstate NY. Thank you so much to Keira Lemonis for sharing and to the rest of the amazing vendors! Many congratulations to Lauren and Adam, we wish you the very best!!
Saja: How did you meet?
Lauren: We met at a NYC bar on karaoke night.
Saja: How did he propose?
Lauren: Adam proposed while we were hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It was a few days after Christmas; the woods were covered with snow and the sun was shining. It was a beautiful backdrop. We then went zip lining through a ski mountain which was exhilarating!
Saja: Where did the wedding take place? What made you choose there?
Lauren: We were married at The Hill, a private residence and horse farm in Hudson, NY. When we first started looking at venues, we knew we wanted somewhere a bit rustic where our guests could enjoy nature and a weekend away. We’ve spent time in the Hudson Valley over the years and got to know the area. We loved The Hill’s beautiful Palladian barn, the secluded location, and sprawling grounds. It’s a beautiful venue, and the owners and their staff were very helpful during the planning process.
Saja: What was your favorite part of the day?
Lauren: The ceremony. We were married outside on the lawn with the Catskills mountains in the background. Our good friend Laura was our officiant and did a great job! Even though we were surrounded by our family & friends, for me it felt like just us standing up there. I remember looking at Adam during the long walk to the ceremony and both of us having huge smiles on our faces.
Saja: Is there anything about the wedding day you can point out that we might not have noticed?
Lauren: We and our families did a lot of DIY projects. Adam made the wooden table numbers & signs, and I did the chalkboard signs. Adam’s aunt did the amazing bunting strung across the ceiling of the barn. She must have cut out hundreds of triangles by hand!
Also, towards the end of the cocktail hour it started raining and then it poured all night! Good luck, right? We’re really grateful we were able to have our ceremony and photos taken outdoors before the weather turned.
Lauren said, "I absolutely loved my dress! It was so comfortable and flattering. I received multiple compliments from guests that it was “very me,” which I think says a lot. I had a great experience working with the Saja team and couldn’t have imagined a more perfect dress to wear on my wedding day."
